I’m a mid 40’s disabled veteran that decided to start running triathlon as a way to stay in shape and became addicted, after many years in the military and law enforcement my lower back is a mess to say the least. I’ve been riding a Trek Speed Concept for about 4 years and just accepted that because of my back issues the bike portion of triathlon was going to be painful and there wasn’t much I could do about that. In January of 2022 I decided to get a proper bike fit from Dom and TPC. The process was very detailed sometimes making adjustments in very small amounts. At the time I thought to myself there is no way moving my saddle or cockpit around 10mm was going to make any difference, boy was I wrong. After we went through all the adjustments I made a 60 minute ride and I was amazed there was no back pain, I thought could this be a fluke, it was not, since Dom’s bike fit I have for the first since starting this sport had no back pain what so ever and my power measurements were noticeably higher for the same RPE. Dom helps athletes focus on the positive aspects of training and racing, keeping their minds in a positive mode in order to overcome the roadblocks….Dom did this for me during recent training for an Ironman race. He helped me to focus on the positive aspects of my training: increased speed on the bike, improve bike handling, and little things like being able to grab a bottle while moving. Strength training is an important part of overall health, longevity, and it also improves performance in racing. I started working with Dom about a year ago and our goal was to keep it interesting, and different while keeping it effective. Thank you guys for the right mix of encouragement and support but not "hand-holding." Because of your emphasis on finding my self-motivation. The nutrition advice was an eye-opener too. It was hard at first to switch to eating clean, like you said "Garbage in means garbage out", and "you can't exercise your way out of a crappy diet". I notice a big difference in my mood when I train consistently and eat clean, and when I don't. - Keena Risola
Speed and victory. That’s a good motto to apply to Tripossibilities. Before I signed up with the coaching team, I had logged many hours in a haphazard fashion believing that hours determined improvement. After flat-lining, I knew I need experts to help. After all, why put in all the hours if I would not improve. I didn’t mind the hours but didn’t want to knowingly waste them either.
After signing up, I followed the plan and quickly discovered strengths and limitations. The coaches provide personalized insight to bring out the best and are always available. I quickly transformed my time into placing in age groups etc. I improved in areas I that I previously gave little attention to, including nutrition. Consistency not just intensity When you engage Tripossibilities, you get a team that is as invested in your success as you are.
